Recently, Cyndi was hospitalized for cellilutis, due to an infected cut on her upper lip. The singer was spotted with a higher nose bridge and a different jaw line after her discharge from the hospital, refueling speculations that Cyndi went under the knife.
Cyndi's assistant, who was with her, initially stopped media from taking photos; however the media said that it should be all right, since Cyndi had makeup on her.
"I didn't actually put on much makeup," the singer said.
The media then complimented her for becoming more beautiful before saying that the bridge of her nose looked higher and there were changes to the shape of her face.
"How annoying, can't I become prettier?" Cyndi laughed.
When asked if rumoured boyfriend Lee Wei was the reason Cyndi became more beautiful, her assistant said that it was because the singer had lost weight.
Cyndi's manager also denied the plastic surgery rumours, "Maybe it's the angle when the photo is taken or the light. She just became prettier. She didn't go under the knife."
Some netizens speculated that Cyndi was suddenly hospitalised because "something went wrong with the previous surgery".
To that, the singer's manager said, "Do we have to prove [the rumours] with the diagnosis? She was really sick! Netizens have no conscience!"
